Mum question: Any advice on how to get my 18 month old son to sleep longer at all? He has never slept more than 4 hours straight for me and wakes looking for boob. The past few weeks he's woken anywhere from 4 to 15 times a night and will scream and dey retch if I don't give him boob.
I've tried to just cuddle him, walk with him, put him into a baby carrier but nothing works. If I pretend to sleep he will physically try to push me over and non stop grabs at my bra.

p as this was the only way to get some sleep, he won't go to my husband (cries non stop and I won't let him cry for more than 5 minutes) and I'm at a loss.
He won't take a bottle of ebm, cow's milk or it even in a cup.
I can't keep doing this, I am physically and mentally exhausted.
Any advice at all? Please?
Pinky says: You are doing an awesome job but you certainly sound as though you need a break from this intense night time parenting. Is your baby getting molars or canines? This can explain the sudden waking so frequently and his desperation to breastfeed. You may like to get his ears checked too just in case there is some pain happening that is waking him. One suggestion to try and encourage longer stretches of sleep could be to settle him in his own space to start the night - perhaps on a single bed mattress on the floor if he's not yet safe in a bed. With this space between baby and boob, he may sleep a bit longer at least for the first stretch. You can also try a pillow for naps and see how he responds as this elevation can be helpful to relieve pressure from teething. DressAfford tiffany blue styled items to wear for the maid of the brides
